These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to the website at bearwest.net and to the services and messaging programs operated by Bear West ("Bear West", "we", "us" or "our"). By using our website or participating in one of our messaging programs, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
SMS Messaging Terms
Program description
Digital Skills Workshop Reminders is a text message program operated by Bear West on behalf of Workforce Connection for participants in the Digital Skills for Work & Life program. When you are enrolled in a Digital Skills workshop, we send you text message reminders about your upcoming workshop, including its dates, times and location.
How you opt in
You receive these messages only if you provide your mobile phone number and agree to receive workshop reminders by text message when you register with the program, either in person or through program staff. Consent to receive text messages is not required to register for or attend a workshop.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies. You will typically receive up to three (3) reminder messages for each workshop you are enrolled in: about one week before, two days before and one day before the workshop begins.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your text messaging plan. Bear West does not charge for these messages.
How to opt out
You can also opt out by asking program staff to remove your mobile number or turn off text reminders, or by emailing us at support@bearwest.net.
How to get help
For help, text HELP to the number that sends you messages, or email support@bearwest.net.
Supported carriers and delivery
The program is available on major U.S. wireless carriers. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is not guaranteed and may be affected by factors outside our control, such as your carrier, coverage or device.
Changing your number
If you change or deactivate your mobile phone number, please let program staff know or text STOP from your old number so that messages are not sent to someone else.
Privacy
Your information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your mobile number or share it with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes.
